Mobile Deadweight Anchors provide RESTRAINT for 1 person. The system is mainly for use on flat roofs with up to a 5 degree pitch, where the absence of handrails or permanent anchor devices would otherwise prevent a safe means of access
The basic system weighs only 250kg; this uses individual, smaller components, with no single item weighing more than 25kg. The modular construction makes it a very practical and convenient option, easy to disassemble, transport and re-assemble to the required locations without the need of any specialist tools.
This Class “E” anchor device is approved to be used on all roof surfaces when wet, it can also be used on metal clad roofs, (subject to the addition of 2 extra weights), utilising a central pedestal attachment point which raises the height at which the arrest force is applied, thus reducing the distance the anchor device moves in the event of a fall.
Benefits and Features:-
Does not penetrate the roof surface; Galvanised for weather protection to BS EN ISO 1461; CE Approved to PPE directive; Rubber bonded base weights for protection of roof finishes;
The above system can also be adapted to form other systems:-
Portable deadweight anchor for Rope Access Techniques in accordance with BS 798
Deadweight anchor system with flexible horizontal life line Vertical and Horizontal Safety Wire Systems
Annual Inspection/certification – We offer a full inspection/recertification service in accordance with BS 7883. Your responsibility to provide a safe working environment does not stop after installing the systems. Once the system has been installed it MUST be re-certificated on a 12 monthly basis as a minimum requirement (this will be dependent upon environmental conditions and usage) to ensure continued efficiency and durability.
