Equipment

The services we provide will meet your requirements where working at height is unavoidable. 

Those planning work at height must:  Avoid work at height where they can, use work equipment or other measures to prevent falls where they cannot avoid working at height and where they cannot eliminate the risk of a fall, use work equipment or other measures to minimise the distances and consequences of a fall should one occur.

Every employer should ensure that work at height is:

a) Properly planned
b) Appropriately supervised and
c) Carried out in a safe manner

They must also ensure that planning includes the selection of work equipment in accordance with regulations.

We specialise in installing and maintaining a wide variety of equipment and are happy to provide you with advice on any access solutions you may require.

Fixed and Counter-weighted Handrail systems will provide permanent protection to roof areas to allow multiple personnel to work safely at heights without the need for specialist training.
Ladder Restraints

Ladder ties and restraints are installed where access via a portable ladder is a permanent requirement. These remove the need for an additional person to secure the ladder and also provide extra safety and security for the operative.

Mobile Deadweight Anchors

To be used in conjunction with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Mobile Deadweight Anchors provide restraint protection for one person.  The system, mainly for use on roofs up to a 5 degree pitch, features a central attachment point, using rubber bonded weights to maximise suction and safety.

To be used in conjunction with work restraints, work positioning and fall arrest products

Personal Protective Equipment includes harnesses, lanyards, inertia reel devices and rope grabs as required in accordance with BS8437 2005 the code of practice for the selection, use and maintenance of personal fall protection systems and equipment for use in the workplace.

Our safety harness Eyebolts can be installed and fitted to a variety of building fabrics and structures and can be provided in a number of finishes.  As well as provision, we also test and maintain the eyebolt, which is a requirement of the British Standard 7883. All our staff are equipped with the correct calibrated testing equipment to undertake such a task

We offer a wide range of Bespoke Suspended Access Systems, including monorails, gantries, trolley units and roof mounted davit jibs. Much of the equipment is provided and manufactured by OTTE, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of Building Maintenance Units (BMUs).

Bespoke travelling ladder systems can be designed to be integrated into vertical facades as an alternative to standard cradle systems. These are usually used where you have areas of vertical or sloping glass.

When maintenance is required on roof areas that have little or no edge protection, we can provide and install safety harness attachment systems. All systems are approved and tested in accordance with current European Standards.
