Our History

Introland was formed in 1981 by Tony Palmer who was an electrician working in the electrical contracting industry.

In the 1970s Tony began working as a maintenance engineer for a major UK based company who specialised in permanently installed access equipment.

Before long he was promoted to Contracts Supervisor, responsible for supervising sub-contract labour who installed new runway track systems onto roof areas.  During this time he gained vast experience and was able to identify various recurring faults that could be modified to provide more efficient and reliable systems.

His suggestions for improvements were not always implemented. This played a major factor in Tony deciding to set up his own business.

He worked closely with window cleaning contracting companies and building facilities managers to build the foundations of his new company. They were so impressed with Introland’s service that they were happy to recommend him to others. It was these testimonials that helped the company grow from strength to strength.

Introland started as a family business, and today over 42 years later, it still remains a family concern. Sadly Tony Palmer passed away in March 2021, however his daughters Rachael and Samantha, who have worked for the company for over 13 years, have now taken the reigns in the continued running of the business.  It retains the same principles that it started with, believing that professionalism, conscientiousness, and honesty are integral to the company’s success.  This, combined with the vast wealth of experience of the team, means that Introland provides its clients with a first class specialised service.
